With Weischer.OOH, Weischer ushers in a new era of out-of-home advertising
In an era where advertising budgets increasingly flow into opaque platform ecosystems, Weischer is sending a powerful signal: after a comprehensive transformation process, Weischer.JvB has become the new communications brand Weischer.OOH. This step is far more than a name change – it is a direct response to the fundamental shifts in the advertising market.
“While brands in digital channels are battling for ever-scarcer attention, the public space offers something unique: genuine, undivided presence in people’s lives,” says Tobias Hefele, CEO of Weischer.OOH. “Our positioning is a clear statement for independence, quality, and impact.”
A PARADIGM SHIFT IN THE MEDIA LANDSCAPE
The transformation comes at a strategically crucial time: the consolidation of the agency landscape is eroding specialized out-of-home expertise. At the same time, the relevance of the medium and the technological complexity of Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) are growing exponentially. Weischer.OOH is meeting these challenges with a clear promise: meaningful and sustainable impact instead of sheer reach.
A MARKET IN TRANSITION – WITH WEISCHER LEADING THE WAY
The German out-of-home market is reaching new dimensions: in 2024, it surpassed the €3 billion mark for the first time; by 2025, it accounted for over 10 percent of the total advertising market. The main growth driver is DOOH, which grew by 22 percent in the first half of 2025 alone, reaching €731 million. Digital formats now account for 44 percent of total volume. Analysts expect OOH’s share of the media mix to rise to 15 percent in the medium term.
WEISCHER’S ABOVE-AVERAGE GROWTH
Weischer.OOH is benefiting disproportionately from this momentum: between 2023 and 2025, the company increased its gross volume by 62 percent to €500 million. The digital business grew by 190 percent, while the programmatic segment surged by 300 percent. At the same time, the workforce expanded by 40 percent – clear evidence that quality and people are the decisive growth drivers. “These opportunities can only be leveraged through the perfect interplay of technology and strategic expertise,” Hefele explains. “With our clear focus, we are ideally positioned for further innovation.”
STRONG INDUSTRY SUPPORT
The new positioning is backed by leading market players. Weischer.OOH collaborates with virtually all relevant agency networks and owner-managed media agencies in Germany. Its client portfolio spans international brands and the German Mittelstand, with tailored consulting across different customer segments as a key success factor. This broad market acceptance reinforces Weischer.OOH’s strategic direction:
“The trajectory is clear: OOH is on course to achieve a 15 percent market share. Weischer.OOH will actively shape this transformation through technological excellence and strategic expertise. We are not observers of change – we are driving it forward with determination,” concludes Hefele.
